MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION

The Western Political Science Association works to promote the study and teaching of government and politics, and to facilitate the discussion of public affairs. Each year, it holds a professional conference for scholars to share their research, network with others in the discipline, participate in special workshops and mini-conferences, and learn about teaching political science. It publishes two journals. It also provides a forum for participating in virtual meetings on a wide range of scholarly topics throughout the year. By joining the WPSA, your membership dues help enable the Association to provide these services. Yet there are also many individual benefits in joining the Association.

Membership in the Western Political Science Association includes subscriptions to both the Political Research Quarterly and Politics, Groups, and Identities, and discounted registration fees to attend the annual in-person conference. It provides one-year access to participate in any and all open Virtual Communities. Regular members are also eligible to participate in official WPSA activities, including serving on the executive council, association committees, and on the editorial boards for both PRQ and PGI.

For scholars and students who are interested in participating only in the Virtual Communities, we offer a limited membership that provides one-year access to participate in any and all open Virtual Communities. The limited membership does not include the other benefits listed above. (Participation in the Virtual Communities is included within the regular membership.)
